Due to COVID-19, all programs and activities are being held virtually until further notice.
LGBTQ SAVES serves youth ages 12-24 and provides resources for parents and educators.
We provide a variety of services for our members and events for our community members.
Our Lifeline Chat provides a safe virtual meeting space for youth (ages 13-24) to connect with resources outside of meetings.
We award scholarships every fall and spring to youth and volunteers involved in our programs.
WEEKLY YOUTH MEETINGS
Our youth meetings are a safe and brave space for youth (ages 12-24) and families to connect with mentors and peers every Thursday from 7 - 8:30 p.m. via Zoom.
GENDER AFFIRMING HAIRCUTS
We partner with Novak Hair Studios and Acute Salon to offer free haircuts to our members in a LGBTQ+ friendly environment.
GENDER AFFIRMING SHAPEWEAR
We work closely with our trans youth to make sure they have access to gender expression shapewear (e.g. binders or gaffs).
VIRTUAL HAPPY HOUR
Every two months we host a virtual happy hour for our families of LGBTQ youth (ages 12-24). Get to know us and our programs, while participating in educational workshops and building a supportive network.
LGBTQ SAVES partners with The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation to empower our staff and volunteers with QPR Training. QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) training gives our team the confidence and competence to help someone at risk for suicide.
