LGBTQ SAVES serves youth ages 12-24 and provides resources for parents and educators.

 

We provide a variety of services for our members and events for our community members.

LIFELINE CHAT

Our Lifeline Chat provides a safe virtual meeting space for youth (ages 13-24) to connect with resources outside of meetings.

SCHOLARSHIPS

We award scholarships every fall and spring to youth and volunteers involved in our programs.

WEEKLY YOUTH MEETINGS

Our youth meetings are a safe and brave space for youth (ages 12-24) and families to connect with mentors and peers every Thursday from 7 - 8:30 p.m.

BIAS FREE, AFFIRMING HAIRCUTS

We partner with Novak Hair StudiosAcute Salon, and Steele on Magnolia to offer free haircuts to our members in a LGBTQ+ friendly environment.

GENDER AFFIRMING SHAPEWEAR

We work closely with our trans youth to make sure they have access to gender expression shapewear (e.g. binders or gaffs).

QPR TRAINING

LGBTQ SAVES partners with The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation to empower our staff and volunteers with QPR Training. QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) training gives our team the confidence and competence to help someone at risk for suicide.

FAMILY DINNERS

Every February, May, September, and November, we provide a family style dinner for our members and their families from 7 - 8:30 p.m.

We are currently looking for sponsors for our meals. Please contact Bertie Gardner  for info.
